Secure Storage Service Proactively Protects Credit Card Data
CHANTILLY, VA – April 17, 2007 –
3Delta Systems® (3DSI), a leader in online credit card payment solutions, today announced CardVault®, an innovative card data storage service that lets businesses accept and process card payments and remove the risk of storing information on internal systems. CardVault stores merchants’ customer data at 3DSI’s secure, certified PCI-compliant processing centers.
“When you consider the increase in data compromises and resultant business impact, there is little reason for any business to store credit card numbers internally,” said Scott Songer, Senior Consultant, First Annapolis Consulting “Additionally, the cost to keep computer systems secure can become too expensive and time-consuming for many companies to maintain.”
CardVault targets security conscious businesses that accept credit card payments and use Web or telephone based order entry systems, or enterprise accounting systems. CardVault allows businesses to relinquish the burden of storing sensitive credit card information on their internal systems and simultaneously gain access to 3DSI’s proprietary electronic payment gateway, which supports the major Merchant processing networks for both consumer and commercial purchcase card Level-3 transactions.
Users simply submit their cardholder and protected private data to 3Delta Systems secure payment processing network, where it is received, encrypted and stored. Thereafter, a “reference key” for the data is maintained by the customer. The “reference key” is used to initiate a credit card transaction or access the protected data. Because CardVault supports both 3Delta Systems real-time and file-based transaction interfaces, it supports Call Center, E-Commerce and Mail/Fax order fulfillment operations.
